UroToday.com
is an online medical journal reaching doctors and healthcare
professional across a range of urology related fields.
After developing an initial site design and receiving feedback
from visitors in a beta release, the UroToday staff identified
a need to improve the overall structure and navigation of
the website.
WPM initial redesign the site's navigation,
including using javascript and cascading style sheets (CSS)
to dramatically improve the website's overall load time
and search engine friendliness. Upon the successful completion
of this project, UroToday tasked WPM with the larger job
of building a content management system (CMS) to control
virtually all of the site's content and navigation

Built on Microsoft's .Net platform, the custom
CMS offers a user-friendly interface that allows
UroToday staff to add, remove, edit and move navigational
items; add news articles; and publish virtually any type
of content to the website, including disease maps, industry
information and statistical data. News items are archived
for date, category and content based searching and site
administrators can create permission-based user accounts,
which allows the UroToday staff to give limited system access
to offsite content providers, thereby increasing productivity
and efficiency.
